CLASS IS NOW FILLED FOR FALL! SPRING CLASS TBD 2023.
Mosaics for Home & Garden will teach you the steps for a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Mosaics is the art of using glass, stone, pottery or mirror to enhance an object or create a piece of art.
Want to dress up the garden? Birdbath, tabletop, stepping stones are just some of the many projects that can be a project for mosaics. https://www.bhg.com/decorating/do-it-yourself/quick-and-easy-projects/how-to-mosaic/ Choices are endless: coasters and tray set in mosaics would make a great gift; a side table for the porch or serving platter for your next get-together to match your decor! You can create a piece of art for the wall for either inside or outside. You can decorate a plain wooden frame or glass vase. Mosaics for Home & Garden will get you started on a new creative path. How to Create Mosaic Accessories that will make your Friends Envious!
What do you want to make? Sign up early in order to find the supplies you will need for this workshop. Supply chain issues remain an issue. Simple mirror or glass, recycled pottery and decorative stones are some of the objects you can use. Or you can use found objects: pottery for broken piecework or glass tiles from the big box or salvage store. A pattern is helpful but not necessary. There are pattern books or printable options from online. You can use stained glass patterns for mosaic use, with a few modifications.
Mosaics for Home & Garden will meet 3 Sundays – September 18, 25 & October 2 – from 1pm to 4pm. Depending upon your project, you may not need all the time allotted. I will email a recommended supply list prior to first class meeting.
